But Karlie Kloss was taking a break from both modelling and studying at the weekend as she enjoyed a sedate stroll around the Italian island of Capri with a female friend.

The 23-year-old supermodel looked the picture of elegance in an ornate calf length skirt, patterned with pictures of colourful landscapes and country scenes.

The former Victoria’s Secret Angel looked elegant in the bright A-line garment, pairing it with a simple black plunging bodysuit.

With no need for heels, the statuesque blonde wore flat nude sandals, with pretty studded ankle straps.

A simple gold chain was the only jewellery the tanned model needed, and she wore her tousled blonde hair loose around her bare shoulders.

A bare minimum of make-up was needed, just a touch of gloss and powder, with the Chicago born model’s natural beauty shining through.

Named one of the Most Influential People of 2016 by Time Magazine, Karlie has been busy in New York this month promoting her new computer science scholarship initiative.

She has spent time visiting the coding camp in Manhattan, where she’s sponsoring 80 high school girls to learn coding over the summer.

A student herself, she sponsors the summer camp to encourage high school girls to take up computer programming and coding, a cause close to her heart.

The runway star has recently taken a step back from her modelling career to attend NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, and just completed her first year.

Karlie, who fell in love with coding after taking a computer science course, is determined to empower future generations of women, by giving them the tools they need to learn new skills and develop a supportive community.
