VIDEO shows 15-year-old Gisele Bundchen dazzling the crowd in Brazilian hometown – Daily Mail
Gisele Bundchen was just 15 years old but the beauty that made her the world’s number one supermodel was undeniable, as these photos of her at her debutante ball in her Brazilian hometown reveal.
The ‘coming out’ event, marking the transition from childhood to adulthood, is a major milestone in a young girl’s life in Brazil.
Gisele’s ball was held in Horizontina, in southern Brazil, in 1995, and the supermodel’s appearance has hardly changed in the 20 years since.

Her choice in men, apparently, hasn’t altered much either.
Gisele’s partner for the night was a strapping six-foot-tall teen named Rogerio Carlson, who is similar in looks, as well as in height, to her present husband, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
In a video of the event, Gisele pulls a series of poses with her twin sister, Patricia, and younger sister, Gabriela, then 14, who also made their social debuts at the same event.
The girls also appear alongside their father, Valdir, and mother, Vania, in the video.
The footage was shot on three cameras by Horizontina-based videographer Dari Nass, 60.
He says that at the time it was shot, he thought Gisele, who was a friend of his now-36-year-old daughter Sandrine, was ‘just another pretty girl’.
‘To be honest I never thought that this girl would go one to be the phenomenon that she has,’ Nass said from his office as he viewed the footage 20 years on.
‘She was very pretty girl of course, and very tall, too, but just another pretty girl,’ he added. ‘In fact, Gisele and her sisters are all very photogenic.’

Horizontina-based videographer Dari Nass, who filmed the event, says that at the time it was shot, he thought Gisele was ‘just another pretty girl’, and had no idea she would go on to be a famous model
The videographer said that as a teen, Gisele would visit his house for sleepovers with his daughter Sandrine.
‘If I’d known how famous she was going to be I would have asked her family if I could be her agent,’ he said. ‘It’s incredible how far she has come and how well she has aged.’
He said that Gisele’s looks are a result of the mix of ancestry in her hometown.
‘There are people here with families from Germany, Italy and Poland, as well as all over Brazil,’ he added. ‘It’s that mix that has helped create someone special like Gisele.’
In the booklet printed to accompany the debutante event, Gisele says her inspiration is a Teddy Roosevelt quote.
The quote reads: ‘Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those timid spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.’
