Vacheron Constantin’s Singapore boutique at ION Orchard luxury mall, one of its more than 36 exclusive boutiques around the world, played host to special visitors earlier this month. On a Saturday, July 9, the Swiss brand hosted a Junior Watch Aficionado Workshop for very young watch lovers aged between 4 to 12 years old.

The world’s oldest watchmaking manufacturer was founded in 1755 in Geneva, and have enjoyed an uninterrupted history. It continues to dedicate itself to sharing its passion for watchmaking and passing on its know-how and tradition through the generations. The children were invited to explore Vacheron Constantin’s 261 years of watchmaking history through a variety of activities.

The hands-on workshop was guided by two Vacheron Constantin watchmakers, and the young watch enthusiasts were given the opportunity to learn the basics of mechanical watchmaking. The kids got to explore parts of a movement, and they even had the rare opportunity to not only assemble, but take home their very own mechanical clock. With the assistance of their parents, who worked alongside the children, they were able to enjoy the learning process with some quality family-time.

Attendees of the workshop were also given the chance to showcase their creativity by customizing their very own Vacheron Constantin timepiece on a bag. Other activities included the chance to visit the boutique watchmaker’s workspace, explore the various tools and machines used in watchmaking, as well as viewing parts of a movement through a loupe.

To conclude the workshop, each young watch aficionadowas also awarded a Certificate of Completion for their efforts.
