Radnor police are investigating an armed robbery at Bernie Robbins Jewelers on Lancaster Avenue in St. Davids Aug. 15 at 4:54 p.m. by a suspect described as a well-dressed man in a fedora.

According to police, a suspect described as a light-skinned black male wearing a dark suit and a gray fedora entered the store and threatened an employee with a handgun before taking nine Rolex watches from a case.

Once getting the watches, the man fled from the store and was last seen in a light blue sedan that may have been a light blue Hyundai Elantra that was headed east on Lancaster Avenue toward I-476, police said.

A description of the suspect was sent out to police departments in Delaware, Montgomery and Chester counties. A vehicle was stopped in Haverford Township but the employee said the driver was not the man who robbed him.

According to information posted by Radnor Township, a reward has been offered and anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI at 215-418-4000.
